1. What are the Florida Board of Nursing requirements?
   
   During each renewal period, one (1) contact hour is required for each calendar month of the licensure cycle, including one (1) hour course on HIV/AIDS and a Two (2) hour course on Prevention of Medical Errors. In addition, Florida Licensed Nurses must also complete a one (1) hour course on Domestic Violence. HIV/AIDS, Prevention of Medical Errors, and Domestic Violence Must be from a Florida Provider. Our Florida Provider Number is FBN3303.
   
   End of Life/Palliative Care can be substituted for Domestic Violence during your renewal period.



2. What is the four hour HIV requirement in Florida? What about HIV for endorsement to State of Florida?
   
   If this is your first time applying for Florida contact hours, or if you are obtaining a license by endorsement, you must complete an initial HIV/AIDS course . For nurses in Florida who are taking the INITIAL HIV/AIDS training, you will be required to obtain four contact hours. Then you will only need one (1) contact hour thereafter for your renewal period. If you are applying to Florida by endorsement, you will only need three contact hours of HIV/AIDS training. Course #100 will give you FOUR contact hours which will exceed the requirements.
   



3. Are your contact hours accepted by my Licensing Board?
   
   Most nursing licensure boards will accept continuing education completed from a Florida Board of Nursing provider. California requires all courses taken with in the state of California to be from a California provider. We are not a California provider. Florida Requires that certain courses such as HIV/AIDS, domestic Violence and Prevention of Medical errors be from a Florida Provider. It is the responsibility of the participant to check with their licensing board if in doubt before purchasing any courses from Excellence In Learning.

5. What is CE Broker? Does Excellence In Learning register with CE Broker?
   
   Excellence In Learning participates in the reporting process to CE Broker. We report course completions on a monthly basis to the Florida Board of Nursing CE Broker under new Florida Statues 456.025(7)
   
   Subscription for licensees in strictly voluntary, and is developed to allow Florida Nurses to track and record their continuing educational achievements. For further information regarding CE Broker, go to www.cebroker.com.



6. How do I register to take a test?
   
   Simply chose the course you are interested in, click on register on line box. You will be taken to a secure server to enter your information for registration.



7. What is PayPal?
   
   Paypal is the secured server our website is linked with for your payment processing. It is IMPERATIVE that you complete all of the registration information asked, including your address and phone number to prevent a problem in receiving your course materials electronically.



8. How do I take a test?
   
   When you are ready to take your test, click on the section that is marked "ONLINE TESTING" from the task bar at the top of the page. Your test will be automatically graded, and upon passing, a printable certificate will be displayed for you to print. You will need to earn 70% in order to pass the test.



9. What if I do not pass the test?
   
   In the unlikely event that you do not pass the test, you will be given the option to retake the test up to 2 times. If you cannot pass it by the third attempt, you will have to re-register for the course.



10. What do I do if I need a replacement certificate?
    
    If you need a replacement certificate, just drop us an email at excellenceinlearning@gmail.com. There will be a fee of $5.00 for a replacement certificate, as they will be printed on certificate paper and mailed to you within 1-2 weeks of your request. Or you may go to the Order by mail form and print it out. Mark on it that it is a duplicate certificate request, and send payment for $5.00 to the address provided for each certificate you are requesting replacement for.



11. Is it safe to use my credit card online?
    
    Yes. We have a verified server from paypal that enables our website to communicate with the payment validation center at paypal. This is an SSL server which means it uses Secure Socket Layers and makes your information encrypted. We do not get your credit card numbers at our business location. As an extra security measure for our customers, we will receive only a transaction number that your payment was approved and processed.



12. How do I pay if I do not want to use a credit card online?
    
    You may go to the form order by mail to request the courses you want to be mailed to you. If you order by mail, the cost is slightly higher due to the cost of printing hard copies and mailing the course to you. The cost of each course by mail is $10.00. Plus a shipping and handling fee of $5.00 for mailing and processing the material. Send Check or Money Order to the address provided on the order by mail form.



13. How do I get a refund?
    
    Refunds will not be given unless there is a duplication of charges.
    Refund requests should be mailed, along with evidence of the
